"Full Focus Departure," bountiful instrumental music, reflects my Mom's fight with Hydrocephaly, COPD, kidney, muscle and heart disease. She delighted her care givers and family with her silly sense of humor and deep wit. She would say, "Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are." I saw her life, a biological, psychological balancing act like vital electrolytes and fluid balance versus dehydration; or cherishing fun memories and finding a way to let the harsh ones go versus feeling like she failed her children. The songs are surprisingly upbeat. She'd say, "Jump in; I'm your Mother, the car." This CD remains a vehicle for thought. TRUE REASONS When a person is ill and dying, the criteria for a good life changes. Perceiving soft daylight from the window, even with his or her eyes closed, the loving, affirming touch of a hand, sounds of people talking, the TV., the cool breeze from an open window, or the air conditioner in summer, the moderate warmth of the radiator in winter, to feel comfort of the mattress and pillow - become true reasons to live. Like melting sherbet dripping from a stick, every last second of life waits to be savored. We all part soon enough. Michael Alan Snyder
